Isn't our baby girl stinkin' cute?!?

Kory and I went for a 4D ultrasound yesterday and had a GREAT turnout! It was so exciting to see our little girl...and by the way, the tech "checked" again and she agrees, it's a girl!

Below are just some of the pictures we got. Also there are a few very short videos, but you can see Baby Keebs move. She gave the tech a run for her money in capturing good shots because she was moving so much!

A close up shows our daughter has her momma's chubby cheeks!

There is still debate over whose nose she has.

Perfect little feet with perfect little toes. Her face is in the upper left corner.
She was showing off her flexibility.

This shot makes me think she looks a little like Luke.

Her mouth is open here. We saw a lot of yawning going on...she got that from momma too!

She was showing daddy her counting skills here!

Her arms are crossed here...maybe she was bored with this photo shoot?

That's her hand up by her jaw. We have a very studious little girl coming soon!

Going back to the book for ideas this week...

Thing(s) I miss from life-before-the-belly: Honestly it seems like I haven't really been pregnant that long so I'm certainly not going to start complaining about things I miss. I really am loving that I get to experience all of this! That said, the craving for Diet Coke has intensified and I'm greatly looking forward to having some after little missy is born. Also I never really noticed that I liked sleeping on my back, but now that I can't it seems that is the only way I'd be comfortable for any length of time. It will be interesting to see if I still feel the same way once I'm "allowed" to do it again. I'll probably forget all about it!

Right now my husband is feeling a little: nervous, excited, nervous, rushed, and happy. These would be my answers of how I think Kory is feeling. He'd be the best one to ask, but I know for sure we're both getting very excited about meeting our little girl and nervous about actually being responsible for another life all at once. We're also trying to get a bunch of organizing done around the house so we have room for everything our little bundle of joy will come with.

Other notes: Well the glucose testing results came back and while they weren't nearly as bad as they could have been, they weren't too great either. I passed the test, but when I saw the doctor he said I had just barely passed it. This means I have to start watching my carb in-take. It's been a little challenging since I am a pasta and sweets LOVER, but thankfully I don't have to give up these things completely. I just have to eat smaller amounts of them. And at this point, I'll do anything to make sure my baby girl gets here as healthy as she can be!

Tomorrow we go for our 3D ultrasound so we'll have more fun pictures of Baby Keebs for our 30-week update! Maybe I'll try to get some video of the worming around she does in my belly. She's not real cooperative when it comes to showing off though, so this may be a challenge.

Keep growing healthy and strong, baby girl. Momma and Daddy are so excited to see you in a couple short months! We love you very very much!

We just keep growing!

And Daddy still thinks it's funny to take close-up shots.

Weight gain to date: 18.5 pounds

Doctor update: We go to the doctor next week, but I had my glucose screening this week. Unfortunately I was borderline on the screening so I had to go back and do the 3-hour test. Hopefully we'll have those results tomorrow and we're definitely keeping our fingers crossed that I don't have gestational diabetes. While I'd be willing to give up sweets if it meant getting our little girl here safely, it would be a very long 9-10 weeks!

Other news: I've spent a lot of time with Baby Keebs by myself this week. Kory had to work in Michigan the last two weeks. We are both really glad that he's home now and doesn't have to go back soon. We made it through the week without him, and I even slept better in the bed by myself, but I definitely feel better, safer, and more comfortable when he's home!

Kory and I spent Saturday morning making more big changes in the nursery. It's now pretty much done with the exception of accessories! There's several pictures below so you can see where we're going to bring our little girl home to.

Kory hanging the vinyl lyrics we selected. Starting with the colored dots was a very good idea. We learned many helpful hints!

Kory's favorite phrase is above her windows... "I'm growing older but not up"

I found the perfectly colored storage shelf at Hobby Lobby last week. And Saturday morning we found the garbage can with the exact colored dots on it!

The lyrics over the closet say, "Tomorrow is right around the corner"

This is what the almost finished product looks like. We'll be putting a surf board with her name on it in the blank space above her crib. The lyrics over her crib say, "So many nights I just dream of the ocean"

Holy moly...Momma's big on Mother's Day!

I know it's been a long time since the last update, so here ya go!

This week was Mother's Day and Daddy and Baby Keebs did a lot to make me feel very special.

We went out to Indianapolis for the weekend so Daddy could run the Indy Mini Marathon. We had a great time hanging out with Meg, Cary, Luke, Erin, Dana, Mitch, and Jackson. Kory ran well and we even got video of him finishing! Check it out:

You can see Kory in the orange shorts, white shirt, and neon yellow headband!

Sunday morning we drove home and Kory, Cary, and Dad cooked brunch for Meg, Mom, and me. They made us some very yummy french toast, hashbrowns, and fruit salad. Kory and Baby Keebs gave me some cute onsies that say "I love mommy" which Kory said were hard to find. Apparently all the little girls' clothes say stuff about daddies and the clothes that mention mommies are in the little boys' section. He did good though and found some very cute ones. They also got me what Kory affectionately calls my sausage finger ring. My wedding rings are starting not to fit and I had said I didn't want to walk around without a ring on so I was going to buy a cubic zirconia ring in a bigger size. I pretty much just want something so that it is still obvious I'm married. Kory decided to pick out this ring for me, which I thought was an excellent idea. It means much more that he picked it out rather than me just picking a ring to pretend with. Unfortunately he thought my "sausage finger" was bigger than it actually is so we have to take it back for a different size.

We also celebrated Mother's Day with Kory's parents, grandma, and Aunt Connie. Dinner and ice cream was a great wrap up to a nice weekend. And hopefully I'll be able to keep my flowers alive this year!

That's all for now. It shouldn't be real long before the next update...fingers crossed I get to it earlier in the week than this one!

Baby Keebs, we love you very much and get more and more excited each week to meet you this summer!

Sorry for the delay... I missed my opportunity to take a picture this week, but you were all asking for an update, so an update you shall get!

Latest cravings: I still accept all sweet treats, though ice cream seems to be topping the list these days.

Times of day that baby moves around the most: Baby Keebs usually starts her dancing after momma eats breakfast. Lately she's been most active in the evening too. It makes me laugh because I can watch sides of my belly bounce out and in. Daddy is still waiting to see this, but she seems to do it every time he looks away.

Dr. appointment update: The doctor was very happy with everything. This was the first time we'd seen this doctor (there are two in the practice I see) since all of our unlucky times. I think they both are as excited as we are that we're finally getting everything we've been hoping and praying for. Grandma K was also excited as she was the person to go with me to this visit. We waited a long time, but all was worth it after we got to hear the nice, loud heartbeat for a while!

Other notes: We celebrated Luke's birthday this week. Can't believe the little guy is 2 already! Aunt Jesse and Baby Keebs made his birthday cakes, which I think he really enjoyed. I know Baby Keebs enjoyed the cake!

I promise next week's update will include a picture. And soon, we will have more nursery pictures to show! For now, if you want to amuse yourself with pictures, you can go check out all the fun stuff we registered for (at Babies R Us and Target).

Baby Keebs, we are getting really excited about meeting you! Daddy told me the other day that he's ready for you to be here. We know you still have some cooking to do, but all he meant was that he's ready to meet you, see what you look like, and see what life is like when you're sleeping just down the hall (we are still keeping our fingers crossed that this will happen some of the time!). So keep growing healthy and strong, Baby Girl, and soon we'll be living that exact picture. We love you very much!
